For some of these shots I used a blue screen in the studio to make the editing in Photoshop a huge amount easier as it allows backgrounds to be placed in easily. I also set up my own lighting for the desired effects in the studio setting. For the live shots an elevated angle was essential to get the shots needed, I used a fast shutter speed to capture the shots and prevent blur.

I conducted research into how magazines are produced by looking at on magazine in perticular. here are some of the results of this research after looking at Kerrang magazine.
